Dr. Carel joined the BVH family in 2022. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2018. She is a 2022 graduate from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently, she is a member of the AVMA. Dr. Carel's veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine. Dr. Carel just recently moved to Roanoke County with her husband, Zach. They are currently on the hunt for a furry friend to add to their family!  In her free time, Dr. Carel enjoys being outdoors and is excited to explore the mountains of Virginia. Having grown up in St. Louis, she also enjoys watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
