Dr. Brummer joined the BVH family in July 2020. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2004 and then a Master of Science in Biomedical and Veterinary Science from Virginia Tech in 2007. He graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Brummer also completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VMCVM in 2014. He has worked in the Roanoke valley since that time. He has special interest in all aspects of internal medicine, particularly in endocrinology and cardiology, as well as a developing interest in acupuncture and other facets of Eastern medicine.
As the newest member of the Botetourt Veterinary Hospital team, he hopes to quickly demonstrate his ability to collaborate and implement the best medical plan for every pet that comes into our practice. He has lived in Botetourt County since 2014 and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, 6 children, and 3 cats. He particularly enjoys doing a mediocre job teaching the kids to throw a baseball, shoot a basketball, and catch a football in the backyard.
